Our journey began with an unwavering commitment to quality, sustainability, and community. With each passing year, we have grown, not just in size, but in our dedication to deliver only the best gourmet and functional mushrooms to your table.

Our foundation is built upon a deep-seated expertise in process controls, combined with an emphasis on quality control and assurance. This is why we adhere stringently to the principles outlined in the 21 CFR 211, embodying the essence of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and current Good Agricultural Practices (cGAP).
We have chosen the path less trodden by eschewing the use of conventional pesticides and chemicals in our production processes. Instead, our strategy to counter insects and other vectors relies on robust organic integrated pest management practices, staying true to the guidelines of the 7 CFR 205: National Organic Program. While we are not officially organic certified due to financial constraints, it is in our future plans and each purchase you make brings us a step closer to that recognition.

Being small batch producers, we ensure that each lot we cultivate is as fresh, vibrant, and high in quality as the last. Our minimalistic national supply chain, where a significant 95% of our inputs are sourced from within the USA, is a testament to our dedication to local businesses and sustainability.
But mushrooms are just the tip of the iceberg! Our farms also burst with life, producing an array of microgreens, petite vegetables, and aromatic herbs and value added products such as herbal extracts, tinctures and concentrates.

The Genesis of Buena Agro
Buena Agro was born out of a genuine passion for agriculture and a drive to uplift the local agricultural community. Our primary mission was to act as a beacon of expertise, providing guidance to enhance production, raise quality standards, and navigate the intricate world of organic certification and paperwork. We also recognized the need to fortify farm finances, ensuring sustainability and success for local growers.
Our initial foray into agriculture saw us cultivating greenhouse commercial hemp, tomatoes, cucumbers, and aromatic herbs. Beyond just producing, we took pride in being an essential pillar for the community, offering invaluable labor services that played a role in the success stories of many local farms.

In 2021, a new chapter in our journey began, marked by our deep dive into the fascinating world of mushrooms. We started our mycological journey with the mesmerizing blue oyster mushrooms. These unique fungi not only captivated our interest but also fueled our ambition.
